Vielerorts breiten sich im Fr\u00fchsommer die Felder aus wie gro\u00dfe lila Teppiche, daneben werden auch andere Kr\u00e4uter und Kulturpflanzen angebaut, die tief wurzeln und mit wenig Wasser auskommen k\u00f6nnen. Die Gegend ist karstig und vor allem im Sommer sehr trocken. Dennoch finden sich vor allen im Fr\u00fchjahr unz\u00e4hlige Sorten von Blumen bis hin zu vielen Arten von Orchideen. Nord\u00f6stlich beginnt die Drome provencal, eine bergige Landschaft, durchzogen von T\u00e4lern in denen Aprikosen, Pfirsiche und vor allem Oliven angebaut werden. \u00d6stlich von Sault erreicht man die Montagne de Lure und Orte wie Sisteron, Forqualquier und Manosque, alle im fruchtbaren Tal der Durance gelegen. Diese Landschaft mit ihren Bewohnern ist in vielen Romanen des Schriftstellers Jean Giono beschrieben. Weiter s\u00fcdlich befindet sich der Luberon mit vielen sehenswerten Orten wie Apt, Roussillon, Gordes, Lacoste, Bonnieux und Lourmarin. Ein gut ausgeschildertes Wanderwegnetz erschlie\u00dft alle sehenswerten Orte, viele Wege sind auch zu Pferd interessant. Die Radfahrer werden seit langem vom Anstieg zum Mont Ventoux in Bann gezogen. Viele Stra\u00dfen auf dem Plateau sind gut ausgebaut und laden zum Cruisen ein. Die Gorges de la Nesque oder das Vallee du Toulerenc und nat\u00fcrlich alle Wege zum Mont Ventoux geh\u00f6ren in die Kategorie &#8222;Wohlf\u00fchlstra\u00dfen&#8220;. Tagesausfl\u00fcge zum Grand Canyon du Verdon oder in die franz\u00f6sischen Seealpen bis hinauf zum Cime de la Bonette (Europas h\u00f6chstgelegene Pa\u00dfstra\u00dfe) sind immer ein Genu\u00df. Mehrere Tagestouren stehen demn\u00e4chst  als Download zur Verf\u00fcgung.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eine besondere Art der Erkundung ist der Flug mit dem Kleinflugzeug \u00fcber die Provence. Vom Flughafen in Avignon werden mehrere unterschiedliche Rundfl\u00fcge bis zu 3 Personen angeboten.
